OTROS: La azalea occidental es un arbusto raro y hermoso, originario únicamente de California y Oregón. Es muy vistosa y florece antes de que aparezcan las hojas. Cada tallo tiene hasta 15 flores grandes, fragantes y con forma de trompeta que atraen a pájaros, abejas y mariposas. Sus brillantes hojas verdes se tornan de amarillo a naranja o rojo en otoño.
