OTHER: You know that black pepper sitting in a shaker on your table next to the salt? Before it was ground in to dust, it was a peppercorn! All black pepper comes from peppercorns. Sure that shaker is convenient, but the problem is that the seasoning inside has undoubtedly lost much of its flavor & aroma. In the same few seconds it takes to shake out, you could instead be enjoying your own freshly ground pepper from a peppermill. Better still is using fresh peppercorns, & the pinnacle of flavor & delight using peppercorns you grew yourself. You can't get any fresher than harvest to table, & knowing where your food has been also brings great peace of mind.
It may sound odd to you that the peppercorn plant is considered a houseplant, but they are a perfect for it. The plants are hardy only in zone 12 (it won't grow in temps lower than 65F), have low light needs, & have an attractive appearance similar to that of the pothos vine, so are a wonderful choice.
We have over 50 types of Pepper seeds available, & numerous spice seeds, such as cumin, cardamom, & caraway!
