Lavender Earl Grey

Our Lavender Earl Grey is made with a black tea base. We use bold high grown Sri Lankan black tea. It comes from the same tea plant (Camellia Sinensis) as all other forms of tea; however, unlike any other tea varietal, it is fully oxidized, giving it a more assertive flavor.

Floral and fragrant lavender perfectly complements the bold, earthy flavors of the black tea and bergamot. Lavender is most often used for perfuming, but it is also an excellent plant for blending and brewing, and has an agreeable and subtle floral flavor. Bergamot is extracted from the peel of the bergamot orange, a small pear shaped sour orange. A true treat to the senses, this tea is as comforting as it is delicious.

We love Earl Grey Lavender so much that we pair it with absolutely everything, or even make Lavender Fogs with it (same as a London Fog but with Lavender Earl Grey). This tea pairs particularly well with chocolate, creme brulee and lemonade (yes, I'm a sucker for a good Arnold Palmer, try one with this tea, you've never had one like this before).
